France

2014 and 2017

I’ve had the pleasure of traveling to France two different times. The first time was for a New Year’s trip and house sitting for friends in Paris. It was a unique experience to visit all the attractions as a tourist, but come home to our own place like a local. Some of my favorite memories are shopping around at all the local stores for our meals. I loved being able to go to a bread store for bread and a cheese store for cheese instead of a large supermarket. I will never forget opening up the windows of the apartment overlooking the city and watching the fireworks go off over Paris on New Years Eve. My second trip to France was for a friend’s wedding. We stayed at Chateau Chambiers in Angers, France and celebrated with them for a few days of festivities. Then my husband and I started our own adventures that took us to Lyon and back into Paris. Some of my favorite meals were enjoyed in Lyon. There are so many Michelin star restaurants and a large variety of foods. In Paris, we visited Disneyland Paris for a single day of pure magic. It was so fun to explore the similarities and differences between the parks in Paris to the ones in California and Florida. There are so many more places I would love to explore in France. I’m sure I will be back soon.
